Our parents Ben and Esther Dayson came to Vancouver in 1949 after living in the Prairies for 15 years. 

Our mother’s family, the eight Nemetz siblings were already settled in Vancouver and members of the Schara Tzedeck. And her sister Chava Wosk and brother in law Abrasha were very active members of the Shul.

So really there was no choice! Abrasha Wosk our Uncle simply said I have signed you up as members and so it was to be.

They remained members for over fifty years and loved to attend every event and celebration at the shul. 

They became major donors of various renovations and were generous supporters of the synagogue throughout their lifetime.
