Marlene Superstein and Mel Hershfield are both transplants from Edmonton and Winnipeg.

Having joined the Schul in 1980, the Schul has been a tremendous influence on our family and has always been there for us in times of joy and sorrow.

We feel privileged to be a part of this welcoming community

Our three children, Michael, Lauren, and Alexis had their Bar and Bat Mitzvahs at the Schul under the leadership of Rabbi Feuerstein and Rabbi Baumol.

Rabbi Rosenblatt has married two of our three children and our Grandson Jake Silver, recently had his Bar Mitzvah under the guidance of Rabbi Rosenblatt.

Mel and I have been board members of the Schul. and have served on various committees over the years. We have also organized and hosted many Schul events

As a Family, we are proud to call ourselves members of the Schara Tzedeck and are grateful for the many blessings, warmth, and support that we have received here. Our hope is to continue to be active members of the community and to contribute to its growth and success.
